Grappling + kickboxing · All levelsIntro to MMA
Learn the grappling that holds up when strikes are involved, and kickboxing from a UFC veteran, without getting your face punched to find out.

Two coaches, both sides of the fight
Nick has spent the last several years training with some of the best-ranked UFC fighters in the world at Valle Flow Striking in Bensenville, and he brings that back to Apex. Shonie "Mr. International" Carter is a UFC veteran, 14-time MMA world champion and Illinois kickboxing state champion.
What you'll learn

Questions people ask
Will I get hit?
Not in your first class, and never without agreeing to it. Technique and pad work first; sparring is controlled and you opt in.
Do I need grappling experience first?
No. Intro to MMA teaches the grappling you need inside the class.
Is this a good self-defense class?
It's the most complete one on the schedule. Jiu-jitsu handles the ground, wrestling handles the takedown, kickboxing handles distance.
